Charities We support

Each year we choose to support a charity, sometimes local, sometimes national. Instead of charging for say professional probate or matrimonial valuations, we ask for a voluntary donation, large or small, to our chosen charity for that year.

Moores staff benefit from a refresher in understanding Dementia

Staff at Moores Estate Agents in Oakham have received training from a Dementia Champion to understand the disease better.

Stevie Jackson from @homestraight visited a couple of years but the staff decided that they would benefit from a refresher.

Dementia Friends is an initiative run by the Alzheimer’s Society to give people an insight into what those living with the disease face. Stevie, a Dementia Champion, visited Moores Hub, in Oakham last Thursday and Moores has made a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Jenny Moore, who owns the estate agents with husband Vernon, said:
“It’s a reality that we deal with more and more people being affected with dementia and when it comes to selling or buying a house, we would like those affected and their families to trust that we will deal with their specific needs as sensitively as possible.”
All Moores branches are also a safe place to go for anyone feeling uncertain or lost.
