Following last Thursday’s Property Roadshow in London, I wanted to share a brief update, particularly if you are still considering a move this year.
It was very encouraging to see that demand from buyers looking to relocate out of the capital continues to strengthen. While flexible working remains a key factor, we are increasingly seeing buyers motivated by lifestyle – seeking more space and a better environment for family life.
This renewed demand has helped the market remain steady through April, despite wider economic concerns earlier in the spring. Buyers are still keen to proceed, although they are more price-conscious, with the best-value homes attracting the strongest interest and achieving agreed sales. Whilst overall viewing numbers have been slightly lower than anticipated, the level of serious intent has improved — very much a case of quality over quantity.
Our next Roadshow is planned for the end of May, where we will once again be introducing properties to motivated buyers. This will be followed by a series of price-banded Open House weekends throughout June, designed to make travel and multiple viewings worthwhile for out-of-area buyers. All of this forms part of our NO SALE / NO FEE marketing approach.
If your plans are still on the table, we would be delighted to provide an updated valuation or simply talk through the current market and your options.
