Looking Ahead to 2026 – A Strong Time to Launch Your Sale

As we approach the end of the year, we wanted to share a brief market update and highlight why the early months of 2026 present a very strong opportunity for sellers.

The year began with optimism, although spring activity slowed as many buyers from London and the South took longer to sell their own homes, largely due to changing working patterns and reduced need to live close to London. By mid-summer this position improved, with more buyers securing sales sometimes at adjusted levels allowing activity to pick up locally.

There was also a short period of uncertainty around schooling changes and early Budget commentary. Encouragingly, confidence returned quickly after the Budget, leading to a noticeable increase in offers and agreed sales.

Despite these market challenges, through hard work, close collaboration with buyers and sellers, and strong support from our partner agents in the South, we are pleased to say that we exceeded our targets for 2025. This gives us real confidence and excitement as we step into 2026.

As we move through the Christmas period, we are seeing rising buyer registrations, strong online activity, and a shortage of available properties as many sellers pause marketing for the winter. Traditionally, Christmas is a key decision-making time for families, which often translates into increased enquiries and viewings early in the New Year.

To take advantage of this early momentum, we are encouraging vendors to instruct us early in the New Year. As a thank you for considering us following your previous valuation, we are pleased to offer 10% off our standard fee for instructions confirmed on or before 31st January 2026.

We are open until 23rd December and again on 29th and 30th December. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, arrange a refresh visit, or discuss the best launch strategy for your property, please contact our colleague at [email protected].

With our very best wishes for a Happy Christmas and a prosperous, house-selling New Year.

Regards,

Vernon Moore
